Obituary

Charles Sumner Stewart IV, age 72, of Irving, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was born of September 22, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas the son of Charles Stewart III and Mary Stewart. After high school Charles went into The United States Air Force. After serving his country, he moved to Las Vegas, where he met his wife Patricia and moved permanently to Irving, Texas to be close to family. Charles was a simple man who loved to gamble with his wife, and watch football. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. Charles was a great man and a very loyal and good friend. Nothing made him happier than his family and spending time with them. Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Stewart; and parents, Charles and Mary Stewart. He is survived by his children, Tiffany Holbrook and husband, David, and David Stewart; sister, Pam Price; grandchildren, George Holbrook and wife, Ashley, Tierney Burkhalter and husband, Brett, Shelby Thorn and husband, Jeff, Natalie Stewart, and Alyson Stewart; great grandchildren, Lily, Tucker, Cooper, Delaney, Allie, and Brady; among numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:15 am in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will immediately follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
