Obituary

James (Jim) Earl Pickering, 67 of Irving, Texas passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. He was born October 5, 1951 in Tupelo, Mississippi to James Edward and Sudie Mae (Hicks) Pickering. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Anthony Ivey and Dean Rhodes. Jim was a loving husband of 33 years to his wife Sharon, a great father and a man who really liked to work. He loved his dogs, Levi, Delilah and Georgia. Jim enjoyed fishing, football, and truck driving. Most of his work life pertained the window manufacturing industry at H-R Windows and Krestmark Industries until October 2015. Jim is survived by his wife Sharon Pickering; their eleven children, Laura (Roy) Jackson, James Pickering, Jamie (Olegario) Valdez, Anthony Pickering, Christian Ahrens, Marcus DeValcourt, Troy (Susan) Royko, Patrick Royko, Andrea (Chad) Whitten, Timothy Royko, and Billy Royko; grandchildren Amber, TJ, Kyra, Jarrod, Sarah, Krystal, Sarah, Natalie, Christopher, Theodore, James, Amanda, Morgan, Caroline, Madeline, Megan, Nathan, Karen, Tony, Jay, Billy; sisters, Nita Faircloth and Donna Rhodes; aunt and uncle, Ann and Hershel Hicks; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
