Obituary

Christopher James Lindblad, age 57 of Lewisville, Texas passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 12, 1961. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents who helped raise him, Ingvald and Jessinia Ronning and his mother, Marilyn Ronning-Kaye. Chris was very proud of his Norwegian heritage. He served in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged because he needed to be the caregiver for his sick mother and his three younger siblings. Chris was a big man that had a tender heart who was compassionate, loving and a huge animal lover. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and had won many awards Power Lifting. Chris had a witty sense of humor and was a big movie buff. He owned Lindco Contracting for 30 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Chris leaves behind the love of his life for 14 years, Kristi Tabisz; bonus daughter, Linda Tabisz; siblings, Marya Kaye and wife Brigid, Robert Kaye, Julie Kaye-Oliver and husband Matt; step-brother, Marty Kaye; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will have a Celebration of Life service for Chris at 12:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 23rd at Chism-Smith Funeral Home.
