Obituary

Salvador Ray Gonzales, 48, of Irving, Texas, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 9, 2018. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 13, 1970, the son of Patrick and Mary. Salvador was baptized in the Catholic Church in 1971. He graduated Irving High School in 1989, GO TIGERS!! In 1992, Salvador, served in the United States Navy until he was Honorably Discharged in 1999. On February 10, 2003 he married the love of his life Duoc Vuong, also known as Nikki Gonzales. In 2006 Salvador was blessed with a son, Rayden Alexander Gonzales. August 9, 2008 he was the first from both sides of his family to graduate college at The University of Texas Arlington. In 2013 Ray and Nikki welcomed a daughter, Teanna Alexandria Gonzales. Salvador’s hobbies included his love for Tae Kwon Do, comic books, and the game of baseball. Most of all he loved to spend every single day with his children. Salvador is survived by his wife, Nikki Gonzales; children, Rayden Gonzales, Teanna Gonzales; mother, Mary Helen Gonzales; father, Patrick Gonzales and wife; siblings, Laura Gonzales-Garcia and husband; brother, Adrian Mack; step siblings, Paul, Tommy, Jimmy, and Alice; nephew, Gilbert Jr.; among numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are considered family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18th from noon to 8 pm with Rosary starting at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, July 19th at 11:00 am in the Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
