Obituary

Carol Barrett, 70-years-old, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at her home in Carrollton, TX. Carol was born on October 8, 1947 in Winnsboro, Texas to Hollis and Mamie Shamburger. She will always be alive in the loving hearts of her three children: Thomas, Larry and Bonnie; Grandchildren: Blake, Parker and Levi; father of her children Arlee; brother Don Shamburger, sister Gaylia Jordan as well as many other family members and friends.
Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and loving demeanor. She loved her family more than anything else in the world. Beyond spending time with her family and friends, she also enjoyed going to church, traveling with her sister, playing card games, listing to Elvis, bowling and rooting for the Rangers and Cowboys. She took great delight in cooking and catering for her family and friends. Her nurturing love, faith and carrot cake will never be forgotten.
A celebration of her life will be held at Central Park Baptist Church at 1005 E Jackson Rd, Carrollton, TX 75006, on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Visitation with family from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm and then the service will begin. Morning worship will be at 10:45 am prior to the service if anyone would like to attend.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Carol’s honor to her church Central Park Baptist Church at 1005 E Jackson Rd, Carrollton, TX 75006 OR to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at
