Johnna “Mama Jo” Lee Grubbs, age 74 of Irving, Texas went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. She was born on January 29, 1944 in Denver, Colorado to Mildred Beaty. Her mother preceded her in death along with her husband Jack Souder and sister Juanita Ballard. Mama Jo was passionate about her family, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed volunteering at the VFW Post 2494. Johnna left behind her daughter, Teresa Aubrey, daughter, Gypsy Mendez; son, Joe Dale Meadors; grandchildren, Bianca, Sathina, Desirae, Jarred, Catalina and Nathaniel; 13 great-grandchildren; and all her family and friends of VFW Post 2494. The family will celebrate Mama Jo’s life at noon on Sunday, September 9th at VFW Post 2494, 1401 N. Beltline Road, Irving, TX 75060.
