Betty Jo (Bradburn) McAmis, age 85, passed away peacefully. surrounded by her family on October 19, 2025 in Irving. Betty was born on May 19, 1940, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Betty lived a life full of love, dedication, and passion.

She resided in Irving, Texas, where she was a beloved member of her community. Betty attended St. Benedict's, and shortly after graduation, she married Charles Phillip McAmis. Together, they celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage. Her husband, Phil McAmis, deeply mourns her passing.

Family was the heart of Betty’s life. She devoted her time, knowledge, wisdom, and loving support to her five beautiful children: Vikki Conway, Chuck McAmis, Liz McAmis, Tracy Johnson, and Paul McAmis.

Betty’s passions extended beyond her family. She was an avid crafter and genealogist, spending years researching her Bradburn and McAmis ancestors. She lovingly created two albums documenting her family history, which she gifted to her children. Her crocheting skills who were taught by her beloved mother inspired her to make many beautiful and treasured items are well known, especially for the personalized Christmas stockings she made for her family.

She is survived by her husband Phil McAmis; her children Vikki Conway, Chuck McAmis, Liz McAmis, Tracy Johnson, and Paul McAmis; grandchildren Jimmy Conway, Stephanie Mariscal, Joe Conway, Trista Dean, Nicholas McAmis, and Austin McAmis; great-grandchildren Faith Reeves, Hayden Reeves, Zoey Fox, Riley Henderson, and Zander Fox; and great-great-grandchild Cash Beirsdorfer. Her sister Judy Bradburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Verna Mae (Cullen) Bradburn; sisters Patricia Ann Gordon and Glenda L Schoen

Betty will be missed by her beloved fur babies Midge and Rosie.

Betty’s legacy of love, dedication, humor and family will be cherished by all who knew her.
