Elizabeth Nava Coronado, a cherished mother, devoted wife, and beloved member of her community, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on March 22, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, Elizabeth spent her formative years in Chicago, Illinois, where she cultivated her deep-rooted values and faith.

Elizabeth was a proud graduate of Spring Vale Academy in Owosso, Michigan. Throughout her career, she was retired as an Administrative Assistant, recognized for her exceptional organizational skills and unwavering reliability, qualities that shone not only in her professional life but also within the Church of God 7th Day, where she was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

In her personal life, Elizabeth was joyfully united in marriage to Fernando Coronado on July 5, 2019. Together, they created a nurturing home, filled with love and support. Elizabeth took great pride in her family, including her sons Jonathan Aguilar and Ishmael (Leonarda) Aguilar, and her grandchildren, Katalina Aguilar and Alessandra Aguilar. She is also survived by her sisters, Noemi (Jose) Garcia and Karen (Refugio) Avalos, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pedro Nava and Felipa (Godina) Nava, and her sister, Anna (Nava) Carrillo.

The family expresses immense gratitude to all those who participated in the officiating of the funeral services, visited Elizabeth during her hospital stay, and offered prayers during this challenging time. Your love and support are deeply appreciated.

Her life will be celebrated with a visitation on February 23, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chism-Smith Funeral Home in Irving, Texas. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on February 24, 2026, at 10:30 AM, with burial to take place at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens at 12:00 PM.

Elizabeth Nava Coronado leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and resilience that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for her contributions to her family and community.
