Francisco Javier Garay Rivera, 55, passed on January 30, 2023, from liver cancer. Francisco was born on September 17, 1967, to Aurelio Guadalupe Garay and Maria Rivera in Nuevo Laredo, Taumalipas, Mexico. On September 15, 1995, he married the love of his life Norma Delia Jimenez. He immigrated to Dallas, Texas, in 1996 where he lived with his wife and raised their beloved children together, Gerardo, Esmeralda, Ginna, and Emily.
Francisco was a boxing coach and was passionate about training young men and teaching them self-defense. Through his boxing career, he found many friends who loved him and appreciated his work. Francisco was a force of nature, who was driven to support his family and provide them the life he believed they deserved. He frequently mentioned how important his family was to him above everything else. Francisco was also a man of God and built a relationship through prayer and commitment. Francisco will always be remembered for his humor, wisdom, courage, and honesty. Anyone who knew Francisco knew that he was the most loving father, spouse, brother, and friend anyone could ask for.
Francisco is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Norma; son, Gerardo and wife Jenna; daughters, Esmeralda, Ginna, and Emily; grandchildren, Ava, Liam, and Emmett; brothers, Ruben and Salvador; and countless friends.
