Graciela was the beloved daughter of Alfonzo Salas Morales and Carmen Diaz Paz, who instilled in her the values of love and perseverance. Growing up in Mexico, she formed the foundation of her character—one that would shine brightly through her roles as a matriarch and caretaker.
Throughout her life, Graciela's most cherished identity was that of a mother. She is survived by her five daughters: Maria Kubota, Carmen Kubota, Susana Kubota, Raquel Kubota, and Fabiola Bartolo, each of whom carries forward her legacy of love and strength. Her family expanded with 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart. Graciela took immense pride in their achievements and milestones, celebrating their joys alongside them.
In addition to her immediate family, Graciela is remembered by her two sisters and two brothers, who fondly recall her spirit and tenacity. She faced profound loss in her lifetime, having lost her mother, father, two brothers, a daughter, and a niece. Despite these hardships, Graciela's resilience never wavered; she remained a steadfast pillar of support for her family, always inspiring them with her fighting spirit.
Graciela was a devout Catholic, faithfully attending church and participating in her community. Though she did not pursue formal degrees or careers outside the home, her unwavering commitment to her family was her life’s work. She embraced her role as a housewife wholeheartedly, creating an environment filled with love, warmth, and support.
Her strong and caring nature will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Graciela's legacy is one of love and tenacity—a reminder of the strength found in family and faith.
Visitation services for Graciela Salas Diaz will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 2901 North O'Connor Road, Irving, TX 75062. The services are scheduled for June 1, 2025, from 1:30 PM to June 2, 2025, until 9:00 AM.
