Jean Allen Moore, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, departed from this world on April 16th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on November 9th, 1960, in Fort Worth, Texas, Jean was the cherished son of Jean LeRoy Moore and Bobbie Jo Moore. He spent his formative years in Watauga, Texas, and graduated from Haltom High School class of 79, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work, loyalty, and devotion to family.
Jean, as he was affectionately known, was a familiar face in the local community as a scrap metal truck driver for many years. He took pride in his work and earned the respect of colleagues and acquaintances alike. Beyond his profession, Jean had a passion for hunting and cherished moments spent with his loved ones, whether it was around the dinner table or in the great outdoors.
On June 19th, 1985, Jean joined hands in marriage with Kathryn Moore Burke, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. Together, they created a life filled with joy, laughter, and shared dreams. Jean was a connoisseur of the arts, finding beauty and meaning in various forms of expression, and he amassed a collection that reflected his eclectic tastes and appreciation for creativity.
Jean will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Kathryn Moore, and their children Crystal Lane (Waller), Johnny Ray Waller, April Moore, and Jennifer Moore. He is also survived by his sister, Gayla Arthur, her husband Chuck Arthur, Marjorie Schwartz, her husband Steve Schwartz, niece Savanna Schwartz and Nicholle Schwartz. nephew Christopher Arthur, and niece Stephanie Arthur. Gene's legacy extends to his grandchildren, Corey Harris, Tyler Waller, Anthony and Alexander Reyes, Caleb Lane, Ethan, and Emily Moore, who will carry forward his spirit of love and adventure.
In his passing, Jean is reunited with his beloved parents, Jean LeRoy Moore and Bobbie Jo Moore, who preceded him in death. While the loss of Jean leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, his memory will be cherished eternally.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the Medical City of Los Colinas, especially the ICU team and specialists, doctors, and all those who provided compassionate care during Jeans final hours. Their kindness and support brought solace during a time of profound grief and will forever be remembered.
In honoring Jean's life, let us celebrate the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the memories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were touched by his presence.
