Jimmy Jack Hubbard, affectionately known as "Jim," was born on July 15, 1947, in Childress, Texas. He passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to family and friends.
Jim moved to Irving, Texas, at the young age of seven and spent most of his life there, cherishing the community that he called home. A proud graduate of Irving High School, he completed his education in 1966, embodying the spirit of determination and perseverance throughout his life.
As a contractor, Jim dedicated himself to his craft, always taking pride in the work he performed and the relationships he built in the industry. His love for his profession was only rivaled by his passion for family, a theme throughout his life. A faithful member of the Baptist church, Jim’s life was guided by his faith, which was evident in the way he treated others.
Jim shared over two decades of love and partnership with Marsha Charlebois. While they did not have children together, Jim embraced Marsha's grandchildren as his own, developing deep bonds with them that encompassed both joy and laughter. He took great delight in being a part of their lives, nurturing their interests and supporting them unconditionally. His step-grandchildren—Luke, Eve, Dylan, Logan, Carter, and Lainey—held a special place in his heart.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Floyd and Anna Lee Hubbard, whose influence shaped Jim's values and character. He is survived by his beloved partner, Marsha Charlebois; his sister, Mary Collier, and her husband Sonny; along with his nephew Shane Collier and his wife Carol; his niece Stephanie Chouffet and her husband Chris; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their Uncle Jim.
Jim's passions extended beyond his family; he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and indulging in the occasional gamble. However, perhaps what defined him most was his unwavering desire to help others and the countless ways he served those around him. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and compassionate spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
A memorial service to honor Jim's life will be held on November 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Chism-Smith Funeral Home located at 403 South Britain Road in Irving, Texas. The service will provide an opportunity for friends and family to come together to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who made a positive impact on all who met him.
