Margarita Lopez, born on October 23, 1950, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, passed away on December 22, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of Jose Guadalupe Requena and Regina Diaz, the latter of whom preceded her in death. Margarita grew up in San Luis Potosi, where she developed a deep appreciation for family and tradition, values that she carried throughout her life.
Margarita married Alvaro Lopez on August 24, 1977, a partnership that spanned forty-eight years, filled with love and mutual respect. Together, they raised a family that became the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her husband, Alvaro; their children, Juan Lopez and his wife Erminia, Marcos Lopez, Norma Lopez, Daniel Lopez, and stepdaughter Amanda Lopez. Margarita was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Marcoz, Javy, Hana, Christian, Kayden, Kendyl, and Benjamin, as well as her great-granddaughter, Jia Isela.
In her professional life, Margarita retired from Standard Meat in 2012. Following her retirement, she discovered a passion for travel, exploring various U.S. cities and venturing to Mexico, Honduras, and Italy, all while cherishing the time spent with family and friends.

She was known for her kindness, generosity, and elegant style, which left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path. Above all, her devotion to her family was evident in everything she did. For Margarita, home was more than just a place; it was a haven she created for her loved ones. Her love language was undoubtedly food, as she took joy in preparing her family’s favorite dishes for birthdays, celebrations, and holidays, ensuring that every gathering was special.
Margarita was also a devoted daughter and sister, holding a special bond with her father, Jose Guadalupe Requena, and her siblings: Maria Concepcion Sanchez, Genaro Requena, Alfredo Requena, Maria Requena, and Apolonio Requena. She will be cherished in the memories of numerous extended family members and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
