Rudolph Davis Sr.

January 1, 1933 — May 11, 2025

Rudolph Davis Sr aged 92 passed away peacefully in Mansfield, TX on May 11, 2025. Rudolph Davis Sr was born on the south side of Chicago to a life of poverty and a culture that would not let him drink or eat from certain locations. Being a person of faith in Christ, he never let his surroundings determine who or what he will become. And what he became, you might ask, was a strong Christian father, loving grandparent and fiercely devoted husband to Maral Davis. My mother and now widower. He was one of the few remaining people who fought in the Korean and Vietnam War that didn’t bring the War back with him but used his military experience to guide his family. To let the past stay in the past and to keep focus eyes on the glorious future that God has waiting. The love for his family could not be questioned but the love for his God was with him in his last moments. As he slipped into and out of consciousness, weeks before his passing, he spoke to his loved ones and the nursing staff stating, “If I were to tell you that I was happy right now, it would be an oxymoron. You don’t know how strong my faith is.” That is why I know he made it into the arms of our Heavenly Father. This amazing man is survived by Rudolph Davis Jr, Rudolph K Davis III, Alicia T Davis, Maral Davis, his always supportive daughter in law Dany Davis, and Dallas the dog. He will be laid to rest with a full Military Ceremony at 2000 mountain creek Parkway Dallas, TX 75236 on June 02, 2025. Service will start from 11:30am-12:00pm. Donations can be given via Gofundme at https://gofund.me/d6cd1a6e . Dad, I drew my inspiration from your faith and love of God. I love you and I will see you when I get there.
