Sara Melissa Pinedo Sandoval, affectionately known as Sarita, Sally, and Darling, passed away on February 26, 2026. Born on April 4, 1981, in Queens, New York, Sara grew up in Flushing, where she nurtured her adventurous spirit and zest for life.

Sara was a proud graduate of John Bowne High School and later attended Job Corp and some college courses. Her professional journey led her to become a Senior Operations Analyst for Payless Power, where her dedication was evident through her work. Sara's bright personality and exemplary work ethic made her a cherished colleague.

A devout Christian, Sara believed deeply in family, and her life revolved around the love and laughter shared with her loved ones. She married on April 4, 2017, and was the proud mother to her beloved daughter, Chloe. Their adventures were many; from exploring the vibrant streets of New York City to hours spent at amusement parks like Six Flags, Sara cherished every moment with Chloe.

Sara’s legacy extends beyond her role as a daughter, mother, and professional. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it be cooking delicious meals like her famous alfajores and grilled cheese sandwiches or engaging in lively karaoke sessions with family and friends. Her unique ability to connect with others was underscored by her infectious laughter and warm spirit. She loved creating memories—whether it was telling spooky tales to her younger cousins, dancing traditional Peruvian dances at family celebrations, or simply enjoying Sunday meals with relatives where stories were shared and laughter echoed.

Sara is survived by her mother, Coty (Clotilde); her two older sisters, Nella (Gianella) and Diana; her younger brother, David; as well as her nieces, Rebeca, Abigail, and Hadassah; and her nephew, Joseph. Additionally, she shared a co-parenting relationship with Freddy, Chloe’s father.

Though the world has lost a remarkable soul, we will hold dear the countless memories Sara gifted us—a kind, funny, and deeply caring person who impacted many lives. Her courageous spirit and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. As we navigate the days ahead, we will strive to honor Sara’s legacy by living boldly, cherishing family, and embracing joy, just as she did.

Sara will always be remembered as a blessing, and her memory will forever live on in our hearts. We love you, Sara, and look forward to the day we meet again in Heaven.
