Erika Patricia Chavez Alvarado

Erika Patricia Chavez Alvarado, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 49. She was born on November 1, 1973, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Agustín Chávez Lira and Teresa Alvarado Rodriguez.

Erika was a brilliant woman who pursued her education from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí where she earned her Licenciatura en Contaduría Pública. She was a hard-working professional who excelled at her profession, but her passion for life extended far beyond her work. Erika was a 10+ year member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church Choir (Coro Hispano de San Lucas). She loved baking and was known for her delicious cakes and treats. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with her family, learning new things and volunteering to help others.

Erika was a kind and generous soul who had a positive impact on everyone she met. Her warm smile and being lit up any room she entered. She was a devoted wife to her husband Jose Urbina and a loving mother to her children Erika Urbina and Ismael Urbina. She is also survived by her mother Teresa Alvarado Rodríguez, and siblings Alejandro Chávez Alvarado, Maricela Chávez Alvarado, Agustin Nazareth Chávez Alvarado, and Maria Guadalupe Chávez Alvarado.

Erika was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ma. Del Rocío Chávez Alvarado. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they have shared with her.
