Judy Tippin Obituary

Judy Beth Tippin, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and accomplished professional, passed away on March 24th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and integrity. Born on October 31st, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas, Judy was the cherished daughter of Clyde Lee Oleson Jr. and Patsy Elizabeth Oleson and wife of Merle James Tippin. 

Growing up in Nederland, Texas, Judy exemplified resilience and determination from an early age. She attended Nederland High School, where her bright intellect and strong work ethic shone through. Judy pursued higher education at Lamar State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.. Her academic prowess was evident as she graduated Magna Cum Laude, a testament to her dedication to excellence.  Before her graduation, Judy went to Houston and sat for the CPA exam and was successful in earning her CPA license. 

With a passion for numbers and a drive for success, Judy embarked on a remarkable 27-year career at Dr Pepper, where her expertise and leadership left an indelible mark on the company. Her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to her profession garnered her respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

In her later years, Judy brought her unparalleled skills to Sun Holdings, where she spent three fulfilling years contributing to the company's growth and success. Her impact extended far beyond the boardroom, as she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Judy's enduring love and devotion extended to her family, whom she cherished above all else. She is survived by her loving husband Merle Tippin. Her mother, Patsy Oleson, her dear brother Clyde Lee (Christine) Oleson III, and her beloved sister, Monica Lynne (Hank) Clausen and several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her cherished former husband, William Kinard, and her father, Clyde Lee Oleson Jr.

In the hearts of those who knew her, Judy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity. Her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
