Roger Dale Singleton

Roger Dale Singleton age 66 of Irving, Texas departed this earth for this heavenly home on January 27, 2021 after a valiant battle with various health issues

.He is preceded in death by his parents Meredith Walton and Jean Singleton

.A life-long resident of Irving, he attended Irving High School. Roger then went into the U S Army stationed at Ft. Hood, as Armor Crewman, 1st Calvary, 2nd Armed Division and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Marksman and Sharpshooter awards. After the service Roger became a HVAC technician and then worked with heavy equipment and drove a cement truck.

Roger loved his family and friends. His other great loves were his dogs, fishing, the Dallas Cowboys and ZZ Top. Roger never missed an opportunity to find humor in life’s situations. With a quick dry wit, one often did not realize Roger’s jokes until they saw his grin and twinkling eyes.

The memories of him will forever carry on in stories and in the hearts of those who loved him. Survivors include, daughter, Angela Partain (Justin); son Michael Dale Singleton; brother Dwayne Blackwell; sister Lou Ann Fennema; aunt Patsy Galbreath; uncle Phillip Hettich; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; long time friend Donna Houser; and numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd at Chism Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3rd at Gafford Chapel Cemetery in Ridgeway, Texas.
