Ronald Torres Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Joe Torres, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on March 15, 2023, at the age of 66. Born on July 9, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Mary and Eulojio Torres, Ronald lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

Ronald had a passion for the Dallas Stars, and he never missed a chance to attend a game. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren, and taking them to games was one of his favorite things to do. Ronald was always dressed in his Stars gear, showing off his team spirit and making memories that his grandchildren will cherish forever.

Ronald was also an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed spending time at the family farm, where he could cast his line and relax in the great outdoors. He was always there for his family, no matter what, even if it meant making an 8-hour flight to be with his loved ones.

Ronald was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He cherished his brunch dates with his parents and siblings, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was an inspiration to his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed.

Ronald is survived by his children, Victoria Rodriguez and husband Omar, Daniel Hernandez and wife Theresa, and Marisa Gamez; his grandchildren, Daniel Hernandez Jr., Angelique Howard-Griffin and husband Jarell, Alina Hernandez, Israel Rodriguez, Jasmine Rodriguez, Myranda Strassner, Jada Strassner, and Ulysses Hernandez; his parents, Eulojio and Mary Torres; his siblings, Robert Torres and wife Melissa, Mona DeLa Torre, Randall Torres and wife Desie, and Lisa Torres Mendoza; his nieces and nephews, Zachary Torres and wife Elizabeth, Nathan Torres, Nicholas Torres, Alyssa Torres, Bethany Forero and husband Timothy, Brooke Mendoza and husband Oscar, Olivia De La Torre, Adaleya Diaz, Luka Diaz, and countless extended family and loved ones.

Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Patterson, and her husband Kevin.

Ronald will be remembered for his infectious smile, his warm heart, and his unwavering love for his family. He touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, Ronnie.
