Sue Ellen Scott Louis, age 52, of Irving, Texas passed away Monday, September 17, 2018.
A memorial will be held at the tabernacle at Lake Cisco Christian Camp in Cisco, Texas, beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 22nd.
Sue was born February 15, 1966 in Cisco, Texas. She attended Cisco schools and graduated in 1986 from Cisco High School. Sue was an active member of the Lobo Band and graduated with honors. She was also very active in church and for many years was counselor at Lake Cisco Christian Camp.
She attended Abilene Christian University and became a school teacher. She taught elementary school, specifically reading, at Siebert Elementary in Eastland, many years at Townley Elementary School and at Cisco Elementary School her last few years. Sue loved being a teacher and looked forward every year to her new classes. She was a very caring and compassionate teacher taking extra care to look after those who needed it the most.
She was very active in her church and looked forward to her Boggle nights where she enjoyed fellowship with her Christian sisters. She would be anywhere, anytime at the drop of a hat for anyone. Whether it be anything from taking food to the sick or sitting beside someone that needed a friend she was always there. Sue loved the little things in life like Lobo football (which she would be the first to admit t, was not a so little thing) and was crazy about the Olympics especially gymnastics in the summer and skating in the winter.
Sue was easy to tease and get a rise out of, but she knew it was done lovingly. One of our favorite things was to call her Suenomi because she loved to take vacations, but everywhere she went there would be hurricanes, forest fires, or shoot outs in bar ditches. A car even caught fire next to her and Dana Lewis in a parking lot. She will be so missed, but to her glory she has transitioned into a peace that surpasses all. “I Can Only Imagine”
Sue was a loving mother to her sons Zane and Taylor – they were the center of her world and she always wanted the best for her boys. She loved and treasured her husband Mark, who could not have been more attentive and loving as he was during this long period of illness. He saw to it that she was able to leave this world in the way that she wanted and she was so thankful for the care he was able to give.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents Carroll and Shirley Scott.
She is survived by her husband, Mark of 27 years, sons Taylor of Houston and his girlfriend Kiana and son Zane of Midland, sister Carol Ann Slagle and her children Stephanie West and husband Brent and Scott Slagle and his wife Amy all of Cisco, sister Kay Rains, husband Robert of Cisco and their children Leann of Nocona and Kaleb of Seminole. Also survivors include grandnephews Braden West, Brant Slagle, Ryder Slagle and grandniece Brittyn Slagle. Mark’s family was also very important to her they include Mitch Louis and his wife Sherre their children Blaine and his wife Samantha Louis, Ashlye and her husband Corey Schlegel . Terry Louis and his wife Jo, Mike Louis and wife Mary and son Garrett, with numerous grandnieces and nephews.
