Dear Austin, thank you for always being the definition of a true friend. Every time our group of friends got together your smile and energy had a way of rubbing off on all of us. There was never a dull moment with you, thank you for always expressing how much you loved me and cared about me, thank you for teaching me how to be fearless and what not..... and last but not least thank you for being you!!! You will be deeply missed, but I just know that gods got you now and I and everybody else won’t have to worry.
Love you Austin.

How I remember Austin... funny, sweet with just enough mischief to steal my heart.  Hungry to grab the world by the tail.  He was charismatic and had a zest for life.  That boy gave so much joy when he walked into my room.  Words are inadequate for the sorrow I feel for the loss of Austin and all who he left far too early ??

Austin & I became friends in 7th grade. He always had a way of making anybody’s day with his infectious laugh & smile. When we were younger he started calling me by “Kafreen” & to this day, so many people still call me that when they see me. I lost my grandma when i was 7 & when Austin found out they had the same birthday, he told my mom he wanted us to throw them a birthday party together (not knowing she was no longer with us). Now on July 29th i know they’ll celebrate together up in heaven. If there was one last thing i could tell Austin, it would be thank you. Thank you for being a big brother, to always looking out for me & my family & checking on us frequently. Fly high Austin. Until we meet again may you RIP.

Austin, thank you for being my first friend at Wilshire Elementary since Kindergarden. I have the best memories with you and everyone from there. You always made me feel accepted growing up from a different background, and gave me the nickname “Nori” which everyone still calls me today.  I’m ever so thankful for reuniting on my last day of high school and having been able to catch up so many times after that.  I will always remember those hilarious moments as you did and will do so forever. Rest in Peace angel. All my love and support and prayers to the Willis family.

Austin,

I and my family watched you grow from third grade until your young Man hood. You and my son were like brothers at one point and the memories of you two together will forever be in my heart and thoughts. I will never understand this selfish and senseless event that occurred causing you not being here but, God must have known and had something better in store for your precious life. I never question God. My heart and prayers for peace, strength, understanding and one day forgiveness truly go out to the entire Willis Family.
