After graduating in 1998 from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas. In 2004 she went to work for her family's funeral home in Irving. After years of doing the flowers and clerical work, she later went on to graduate from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2009. Heather Moffat has spent her entire funeral service career serving the families of Irving at Chism-Smith Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Heather, is known by her peers as a funeral director that is ready to try new innovative ideas, she is not afraid of technology and that has afforded the families she serves the highest level of service. She is an active member and Board Member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association-North Texas Chapter, Emerging Leaders and Dallas County Funeral Directors Association. She currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of DCFDA Board, where the association has benefited from her tech skills by now having the capability to accept payments on-line and she also manages their social media. She is active in her community with Irving’s Wreaths Across America and attends Fellowship Church in Grapevine.

Heather enjoys spending time with her family, friends, traveling, fashion, music, and going to Dallas Cowboys games, but most of all spending time with her daughter, Hanleigh.
