To my loving little sister, you gave it your all with grace and dignity and you definitely left this world a better place than when you entered it.  The courage, spirit and strength you displayed throughout the years has been an inspiration to me.  You are now at peace in the arms of an Angel.  I love you! XOXOXO

To my beautiful loving aunt; my heart is left aching but I know that you are in a far better place with no pain, suffering, shortness of breath, anxiety, depression or fear. The heavens have gained such a beautiful angel! I will miss our adventures, sleepovers, conversations, laughs, visits and much more. However, through all of that I am left with those lovely cherished memories. You have definitely touched my life, my children’s, and many extended others. We love you and will definitely miss your presence until we meet again ??

Love your Niece

Ms.Barbara.. When I think of you I think of the many conversations we had about my family, my goals, and desires. You were always so encouraging and a very positive woman. It is with sadness that I write this message, but I know that you are resting in peace. You will be missed:/

My dear sister you touched many lives and will be missed by so many. Your love for others and especially children was so unbelievable. You had a heart of gold. You loved my children as your own and spoiled them throughout their life. You would correct me over and over on the way I would talk to them. Lol. You were always there for them and the same for my grandchildren. We are left with so many memories with you. I am really going to miss your smile, watching you looking in the mirror at yourself checking your makeup, and being the fashionista you were. Your little sis loves you FOREVER. LOVE , EVA.

Ms. Barbara,

How many times did you greet my girls with a smile? How many times did you spend hour after hour going above and beyond not only for my girls but for many others at church? My girls always felt loved and accepted every time you were near and they looked forward to seeing you each day.  Thank you for your tireless and dedicated spirit that will never be forgotten.  You have left a wonderful legacy of biological and spiritual children.  We knew you would be serving even when many times you didn’t feel like it.  Your sacrifice meant the world to be and my girls and I know many others.  I am excited that you are at the feet of the ONE whom you have served and the one you taught our children about.  We will never forget.  Our deepest prayers and sympathy for your family.

Aunt Barbara, my heart breaks at the thought that you are gone of this world, but I rejoice at knowing where you have gone.  You are the true example of what it means to be strong and have faith in God.  With all that you lost in this world, many would have crumbled, oh but not you! You lived in faith and you loved those around you.  You inspired me to want to be better and to never lose sight of that which God places in our path being used to make us better, not to harm us.  Until we meet again, I will love you and hold you dear.  I won't be there to honor your life, but I will continue to pray and honor you from here.  <3

Mrs. Barbara,
You will forever be missed.  You were a warm, loving and familiar face in the house of the Lord.  You were of great service to the church and will never be forgotten.  Rest in Peace with our Father in Heaven.

I’m at a loss for words and grieved I cannot be there today.  I found this poem for you Aunt Barbara.  May God bless you forever.  I look forward to the day we will meet again.  I love you.

“My Aunt”
by Megan Stokes

I thought I saw her face today
In the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say,
"Her work on earth is done."

I thought I heard her voice today
Then laugh her hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say,
"There's peace little one at last."

I thought I felt her touch today
In the breeze that rustled by.
And then I heard the angel say,
"The spirit never dies."

I thought that she had left me
For the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say,
"She left you with her love."

I thought that I would miss her
And never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say,
"She's with you every day.”
